STRIDE is a fun running program for boys in grades 3 through 5. Boys have the opportunity to express their thoughts and opinions about various life topics in a safe, encouraging environment that helps expand their character while building their running endurance to complete a 5K or 3.1 mile event.
Over the course of 10 weeks, trained volunteer coaches will meet with the boys twice a week, for 75 minutes. They will weave important topics and discussion into fun games and running activities. All shapes, sizes, and abilities are celebrated and welcome. The Membership for All program is available for any family and/or individual demonstrating a need for assistance with membership and program fees.

BECOME A COACH
STRIDE is run almost exclusively by volunteers, being a coach is a fun and easy way to change lives! Each site requires 3-5 volunteer coaches. We provide all the required training and coaching supplies. You DO NOT need to be a runner to be a coach. We welcome both men and women who have the time, energy, and willingness to make a difference. Interested? Email questions related to coaching STRIDE to Sarah Dowell, Community Programs Director.
