Our Youth Free Weight Training program is designed to strengthen families by providing opportunities to exercise together in a safe and fun environment. The goal of the program is to teach youth proper safety and form when strength training with free weights. The two-session course is instructed by a Certified Personal Trainer who discusses the major muscle groups, basic free weight exercises and proper safety and etiquette in the Wellness Center. Proper form and technique will be emphasized. The program will conclude with both written and practical exams. An adult must attend both sessions with the registered youth. Successful completion of the course is required by youth ages 11 to 13 to use free weights in the Wellness Center with adult supervision. ** Registration is required.
Required prerequisite: Free Youth Consultation in Wellness Center
