The YMCA strives to teach sportsmanship, teamwork, skills and values above all else. Every child plays half of every game and the score is only kept in upper grade levels, so that fun and skill development can remain the focus of YMCA Youth Sports. Below is a listing of upcoming Youth Sports registrations along with a list of Youth Sports offered throughout the year.
Keep your child’s soccer skills up during the winter by playing Y indoor soccer! This six week league is for boys and girls ages 4-14 and is great fun for all skill levels! Games are on Friday evenings and Saturday mornings. For more information, contact the YMCA at 234-9494.

Foam balls are used for this fun-filled league. There are no practices, and games are played on Monday nights. Age and gender league will depend on registration numbers.

We are thrilled to offer our first season of Fall Outdoor Youth Soccer in Toledo! This league is open to kids ages 4-14 and games will be played at Neal Park on Saturdays. Teams will be divided based on the registration numbers we receive. Call 217-235-2500 to register.

Our Youth Free Weight Training program is designed to strengthen families by providing opportunities to exercise together in a safe and fun environment. The goal of the program is to teach youth proper safety and form when strength training with free weights. The two-session course is instructed by a Certified Personal Trainer who discusses the major muscle groups, basic free weight exercises and proper safety and etiquette in the Wellness Center. Proper form and technique will be emphasized. The program will conclude with both written and practical exams. An adult must attend both sessions with the registered youth. Successful completion of the course is required by youth ages 11 to 13 to use free weights in the Wellness Center with adult supervision. ** Registration is required. Click HERE to register.

Time: 6-7 p.m.
Youth ages 4 through Kindergarten will learn skill development appropriate for beginning athletes. Games are usually held on Friday evenings at the Y. Children in 1st through 3rd grade focus on the fundamentals of the game such as dribbling, passing, shooting and defense. Practices are held once a week at the Y with practice times determined by the team coach. Games will be held on Saturday mornings. This league is open to both boys and girls and each player will receive a t-shirt and a participation medal.
